As New Zealanders we are blessed to live in a country where our safety and freedom is assured.

Right now there are 60 million displaced people in the world.

12 million of them are from Syria.
4.5 million of them have fled the country to save their lives.
This number is growing by the tens of thousands every day.

Half of them are children.

NZ's refugee quota hasn't increased in 30 years.

We sit at 90th in the world per capita for the total number of refugees we host, 116th if measured by our GDP.

Please help us raise money to support refugee re-settlement in NZ.

Our Mission

The world is facing a human displacement crisis unlike anything we have seen since WW2. There are currently 60 million people globally who have been forced from their homes due to conflict or persecution. An estimated 20 million of them are Refugees.

NZ has an annual refugee quota of 750 per year. In 2015 our government announced it would accept an additional 600 Syrian refugees over a period of 2-3 years under an emergency intake. This is a one-off intake and there has been no permanent increase to our Quota.

KIWIS ON BOARD call for an increase to our Refugee Quota and recognise that the Syrian Crisis at this time demands our particular attention.

KIWIS ON BOARD provides a platform for New Zealanders to show our support in welcoming and supporting all refugees.
